"Alice, slow down!" Bella shrieked at the top of her lungs, her knuckles going paler than they already were as she clung to the "oh-shit" handle above the passenger door. "Invincible or not, I would rather not get into a car accident. Do you want to have to explain how we just miraculously avoid being crushed to death? 'Cause I really don't."
No matter how many times Bella had been forced to ride in a car with Alice, she had still not gotten use to her sister-in-law's speed demon way of driving. Reckless was a major understatement. Bella was not surprised that she had never been pulled over, though. With her gift of foresight, she was most likely able to avoid any cop that happened their way.
Bella tried to loosen her grip on the handle, so she could avoid snapping off yet another one, but to no avail. Alice would just have to get over it. She could just buy another car if she really wanted to.

The smile on Alice's face was ear to ear as her midnight blue convertible Maserati GranCabrio darted in and out of traffic on the way to Seattle. Sadly, she had to keep the top up, since it was day time (not to mention rainy), but she'd take what time she could get with Bella. Her shrieking only made Alice speed up. 0-62mph in 5.3 seconds wasn't bad, but even that wasn't enough for Alice. Not to mention, Bella still hadn't seemed to realize that Alice's reaction time was almost negligible. "Calm down, Bella," Alice cooed in a voice that was eerily calm. "You've got to chill out. The boys will be back from hunting in no time, so we don't have time to sit in traffic." She glanced over to Bella for a split second. "You are going to break my new car. We haven't had time to reinforce it yet." Alice yearned to take the top down, to take off her sunglasses and headscarf. She felt confident that, given the right car, she could dodge the rain drops and still feel the wind in her hair, and although she had already fallen in love with her GranCabrio, it wasn't quite that fast. Still smiling externally, she sadly considered the fact that instead of hoping for a sunny warm day, they were instead hoping for the cloud cover to stay just thick enough, at least until they could get back to the car.
