Rosalie's hair blew with the wind as she stood in the middle of the forest. She felt like she had to get out of the house, and came here, not knowing why she did. She was in jeans, hiking boots, and a cute shirt, though the jacket currently covered it. She breathed in through her nose, sniffing the air. Nothing human was around, so she relaxed her muscles.
Rosalie took a step and then continued walking again. Pretty soon, she found herself standing in front of a tall tree and looking up. She spun herself around and leaned against the trunk. She was just thinking. She wanted something to happen. Someone to tell her she was beautiful. Her lips twisted into a half-smile. She closed her eyes, wondering about children.

"What's wrong, Rose?" Alice asked as she jumped lightly down from her perch in the trees. She'd only been in the woods a couple seconds, but it hadn't taken long to find Rosalie anyway. Alice had seen her out here, moping around all by her lonesome. Maybe it was her imagination, but it seemed to have gotten worse since Edward and Bella had returned with Renesmee. That girl was growing like a weed. But her presence seemed to get to Rosalie.
Rosalie and Alice had been sisters for a long time. More than 50 years. One can't live with a person that long without learning to realize when they're thinking about something. "Is something on your mind?" she asked calmly, not wanting to let Rosalie know the assumptions that were running around inside her head. Rosalie was strong, and beautiful... and stubborn. If she was going to share, it would be in her own time. All Alice could do is wait.
