A female's dark, yet wisp like hair was pulled back into a tight braid that went down to her mid-back, revealing her pale face almost entirely. Yet, as usual, a couple strands from the vampire's bangs shaded her right eye. Though no one was there, she could hear the echo of her mothers voice, and what she had said from about six centuries ago. " Renata, do this. If you won't do it for yourself, do it for your family...Do it for us." The familiar voice pounded in her head, causing Renata to spin around, making sure it was just the memory. What had actually happened to her parents? Could the Volturi have turned any of them? Questions continued to bubble to the surface of her head, giving the Volturi member a light headache. Renata's dark eyes were proof, that she hadn't drank in a while. Maybe that could be it...She couldn't remember the last time she went without blood for a long period of time. " This is truly boring, Renata...You should be doing something....Productive, or important." The vampire scolded herself, rolling her red eyes. She let out a sigh, and simply sat down on the ground, her knees pulled up to her chest, and her face resting in her palm. Though Renata was frowning, her eyes were edged with a relaxed expression. The female let out another sigh, this time sounding a bit annoyed. Not at anyone else, but herself. It was the only person there to be annoyed with, after all. Unless, of course, someone had been eavsdropping. Nah, she would have noticed, right?

How long had it been since they'd last drank? Caius had no real recollection. Mere days seemed to pass as only a blur in the memory of the centuries old vampire. The only things that ever stuck out were the days that were somehow not ordinary. Moments like Aro killing Didyme and the day the Volturi, Aro particularly, had let Bella Swan and Edward Cullen leave Italy, particularly with Bella as a human who knew about vampires, those were what stood out in Caius's mind anymore. Anything else just faded into the background with centuries upon centuries of the same.
He wasn't trying to listen in on Renata, but happened to be passing by as she spoke. He stopped and entered the room she was in. "Bored?" he asked in a tone that clearly was trying to sound innocent. The problem was, Caius wasn't innocent. That was like an oxymoron. He more than knew the answer and knew she'd been talking to herself. However, why act like he had? Renata was Aro's precious guard, and while he couldn't use what he knew to influence Aro he certainly had times where he wished he could get his way. Aro had the power though, and Caius more than suspected that anyone who got in the way of that would meet the fate Aro's sister had.
((I'm guessing she's in a room..... also, I took some liberty with Caius's app since it was "unknown" if he knew about Didyme, just so you know.))

[Ooc; Ah.^^ Sorry about not mentioning in the post, where Rennie was. =| Bic; Renata jumped, a bit surprised by Caius' voice. She stood up, quickly brushing herself off. " Very," replied the vampire, pausing before she continued speaking. "Is there anything important going on that I should know of? Please pardon the fact that I wasn't doing anything..." Her voice trailed, and her eyes, once relaxed, were now focused intently on Caius. As usual, she was quite nervous. What if, something bad had happened to someone, when she'd just been sitting around? More importantly, what if they were preparing for something bad, and she'd forgott en, deciding to doze off as much as a vampire could? Renata cleared her throat, formally. " Sorry...Sorry...I'm just a bit jumpy, today." Just today? She asked herself, silently, biting her lip. Am I usually this way? Should I ask? The female put on an entirely false smile, to cover up her nerves, sighing inwardly. After mumbling another 'sorry', Renata went entirely silent.

It was so amusing for Caius to see Aro's little toy jump at the sound of his voice. He kind of enjoyed how instantly she assumed something was wrong. Caius wasn't known for mercy or kindness, and it was obvious his actions had made an impression on even Renata. The only person who wouldn't learn to fear Caius was Aro, and that was because Caius didn't relish trying to be anything but subservient to his power-hungry superior.
"There's nothing going on," Caius said, though his tone was again one of false innocence. "It's just rather interesting to see you bored and not seemingly attached at Aro's hip." That and it was so amusing to see her squirm just a little in his presence. Though, if she had been a human it probably would have been less amusing. Humans always squirmed, and it became part of the monotony of life.
"And it's fine. Honestly today is... uninteresting, and jumpy at least shows that you're alert." With his tone, however, it was hard to know what of those words he meant and what were just words. Really, he was just toying with her a little. There was nothing happening today, so if she wanted to be bored now was as good a time as any.

"Okay...Uhm, is it a good thing that I'm being...er..Alert? Or, am I a bit too alert?" REnata asked, raising an eyebrow. She shook her head, quickly, and smiled, back to a relaxed expression. " I apologize again. I'm overdoing it, aren't I? It's just that....We never really talked much, though we basically live together and everything." The vampire let out a quick laugh, trying to make things sound a bit more causal. It was true, though. Renata didn't remember talking to Caius much, or most people, for that matter. Should I be talking more to him? Or, other people? That way I'll know when things are happeneing? The female leaned back against the wall, boredly. " So...Is there anything you need me to do? I mean, as I mentioned, I'm quite bored. I'd literally do just about anything to...Well, have some fun." I don't usually say things like this.. Why am I doing it now? Maybe that's just how bored I am...

You know, maybe the fact that today was so dull was actually good. What Renata said was true, they never talked much. He'd never gotten to see her squirm as she tried to figure out how to react in his presence. Outwardly, of course, he still looked thoroughly bored. Caius tended to always seem angry, but today there wasn't even a reason for that nor did he have the energy. Deep down he was as malevolent as ever, but it was as if the monotony of today was smothering him and he simply existed.
"This is true, though usually when I see you you're attending to Aro, and talking to you while you're busy hardly seems right." Not that he really cared too much. He just wasn't sure how Aro would react to it. As a rule, Caius tried to avoid experimentation there becuase it didn't seem wise if one wished to live. "I don't know of anything you could do for me though. I'm not doing much myself. Today is just.... I believe the word I want is monotonous."

Renata nodded, briefly. " Agreed. " a smile was tugging at the vampire's lips, not a false one, either. Maybe it's about time I got to know someone else. She felt a bit more open today. Why? Well, Renata herself didn't even know. Her face was lit with strange amusement, which she couldn't exactly attempt to hide. Usually, her emotions were hidden. But today, her facial expressions surely showed it all. It's like a chain reaction, Renata thought, silently. Boredom causes..er...a different reaction to things. " As I said before, I'm willing to run errands or something, if needed. "
OOc; >.< GAH. Writers block. Gotta hate it, y' know?
