My Character: Marcus
Real age: unknown
Apparent age (if a vampire): late 30s or early 40s
Gender: male
Type of being: vampire
Diet preference: human blood
Power: recognize bonds between individuals
About the Character: As a result of losing his mate - Didyme - Marcus eventually became extremely apathetic. He voted against destroying Renesmee in an 'almost bored fashion', not even looking at the Cullens and their allies while doing so. The others of the Volturi seem to recognize this aspect of himself, as none of the Volturi reacted at all to his vote. He never knew Aro killed her.
Creativity
Secrets: Even after his wife's death, Marcus has continued to think about leaving the Volturi. The only thing that keeps him there is his tie to Aro as his brother-in-law. If he ever found out what Aro did, he'd leave them forever. Also, he wishes that they got out of Italy more. Centuries as a vampire, and he's still never been to Japan.

Kiera was still smiling and laughing at Quinn and Riley when Victoria emerged with the beautiful baby girl. For a moment, her heart felt it might burst from joy. A single moment. And then, in one more, her heart nearly stopped. Raven was dead. Riley was crying. David was crying. Victoria was crying. The baby was crying. Kiera felt like she was about to cry, but she couldn't even breathe. She could feel her insides breaking apart. The world around her faded into a dull hum.
"Any idea where it might be, if we have it, Kiera?"
Quinn was speaking. She waited a second for her brain's instant replay so his words could sink in. Her eyes darted between Quinn and Victoria quickly. Formula... right... for the baby. "I think so..." she managed to say. "I mean I think we have some in the kitchen... somewhere... I'll go find it..." Her eyes went around the room, taking in all the faces. They lingered on David for a bit longer, not knowing exactly what to say. He'd helped pull her together so many times. Why couldn't she think of anything? Her mouth dropped open, preparing to speak, but there were no words.
Quickly, she looked away, walking quickly into the kitchen. Cabinet by cabinet she searched. Her short stature made it hard to see in the top shelves, but she strained to anyway. Just keep doing something productive, she told herself. Suddenly, the pink dress that she wore felt like a straight jacket that was 3 sizes too small. She fidgeted, wanting out of the monstrosity, not caring that the stupid dress was simply a funnel for her internal pain. Finally, she found the formula. "Yeah, put the damn formula on the top shelf," she muttered to herself as she reached for it.
It was all she could do to push it with her finger tips until it fell of the shelf. Her hands reached out to catch it, but missed. Luckily it landed safely on the counter... right beside the polaroid. Her eyes caught it for a split second before... God, I have got to get out of this dress! She flew out of the kitchen and back through the living room. "It's on the counter..." she told Victoria as she passed. "Bottles are in the cabinet next to the cups." There was no time to wait for responses as she ducked into her room.
Franticly fighting back tears, she struggled to undo the dress. Her fighting failed, the tears making it that much harder to work the zipper. Finally, she gave up, dropping to the floor. The dress ballooned around her, hiding her entire lower body as she let herself break down. It was better this way. This way no one saw her. This way she could cry it out, then forcefully put on a strong face for the faction... For Riley... For the baby. Slowly, easily, she laid down, her hands gripping the soft fabric of the dress, not caring if the tears stained it.
